Remedial and sports massage can help speed up injury recovery times, maintaining soft tissue flexibility and muscle tone.

PREGNANCY / POST NATAL MASSAGE
As a woman progress through the incredible journey of pregnancy, her body will experience many changes. Pregnancy massage can assist with most of the uncomfortable changes by energising and nurturing both mother and baby. This specific massage changes as the pregnancy progresses through the second and third trimesters and is planned dependant on your individual needs. When you are full term and your bubba is not yet sending signs of arriving, there are some well known acupressure points that can be stimulated to try to encourage delivery.
Postnatal massage assists the body to return to its correct alignment, assisting recovery and preventing future problems that can occur after childbirth.
LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY
Low Level Laser Therapy or LLLT is used to treat various conditions using laser to effect a photochemical reaction at a cellular level. The laser light penetrates into tissue where it is absorbed by cells and converted into energy that influences the course of metabolic process.
The LTU-904 (the model used by both Melissa & Kellie) does not heat tissue and as such is indicated as part of a therapy regime for the treatment of post mastectomy lymphoedema and soft tissue injuries and pain that may be associated with inflammation.
Manual lymphatic drainage aids detoxification & decreases fluid retention. This technique is an extremely effective part of any cleansing program as it speeds up our Lymphatic system which in turn removes waste from our body and assists our immune system to keep us healthy.
Lymphatic drainage is recommended as an essential treatment for a range of health conditions including Lymphedema and lipodema and forms a critical part of healing after some surgical procedures.
Relaxation massage is nurturing and therapeutic, helping to alleviate stress and relieve tired & sore muscles. It promotes harmony between the body and mind and therefore has a positive impact on our health and stress related conditions.

Craniosacral Release is a gentle yet profound method for enhancing the function of the nervous system, reducing stress and returning balance and mobility to the entire body. Quite often, a greater sense of calmness, clarity and wellbeing is experienced after a Craniosacral session. This safe and supportive process allows for the release of deep-seated trauma and emotions stuck within our body.
Various systems of our body function involuntarily and have their own pattern of motion and rhythm. The Craniosacral system is comprised of the skull, spinal column and sacrum and everything that is housed within these boney structures.
Dry needling is used to treat trigger points and muscle imbalances that cause pain and restricted movement.
The initial assessment determines the needling sites. Myofascial trigger points, contractures and tight bands in deep muscles can be felt with the needle, via feed back on the quality of the tissues that it is penetrating. This often reproduces the patient’s symptoms, deep ache, or a sudden involuntary muscle twitch.
Following the needling, physical signs such as: shortening, muscle spasm, guarding and tenderness can disappear in seconds or minutes. More chronic conditions may take several sessions to treat.
Following the treatment, the muscle tension is reset and the trigger point is desensitised by the body’s own pain reducing substances.
Dry needling is an invaluable tool for clients that are very sensitive to deep pressure massage.
